This
Convairs were leased by Lloyd Aereo Boliviano (LAB Ailines) to operate the
eastern routes of the country during 2000 and 2001.
On
july 2001, the Convairs were sold to a South African railroad and tourism
company, "Rovos Rail" that later, with the inclusion of this aircraft,
formed "Rovos Air".
At
the moment, Lineas Aereas Canedo is operating Douglas Super DC-3 (C-117D),
CurtissCommando C-46, Douglas DC-3, and AeroCommander 680S aircraft. The
first of the above mentioned airplanes has been recently incorporated to
LAC´s fleet in a 32 passenger configuration. This aircraft was designed to
fly 16 hours non-stop at a speed of 470km/hr.
The
Douglas DC-3S is the only aircraft in the world that holds an indefinite
